The New Edlantis Achievement Center (gym)
About Our Program:
The Edlantis Achievement Center (EAC) provides comprehensive, individualized occupational and speech therapy services for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults whose impairments are the result of injury, illness, or congenital defects. Our kid-friendly therapy center is designed to be a fun environment where kids can learn and develop the skills they need to be successful and have a better quality of life. At the same time, we understand that living with disabilities impacts everyone, and so we believe in building a strong family-centered foundation, providing the skills and strategies needed for the patient and their families to be successful as well.
Meet Mr. Joel:
Joel Desotelle, MS OTR/L ("Mr. Joel") has been an occupational therapist since 1995. Early in his career, he found a passion for working with children living with disabilities, believing that all children are entitled to the best quality of life possible and worth investing in. Outside of the clinic, Joel has dedicated his time to researching and developing better treatment strategies and methods to help these great kids, which he shares with his peers all over the United States. He has written several training texts including, "Treating Autism: Putting the Puzzle Together," "Clinical Gems in Pediatric Rehabilitation," and "Motivational Strategies to Improve Outcomes." He has also presented throughout the country featuring his Zone Program, a treatment philosophy to help children living with Autism. In 2012, he founded the Edlantis Achievement Center to bring his passion and energy to Chambersburg, PA and surrounding communities.
